Simply does not work on android. Doing this with my teammates at work. First, it wants invasive location permissions. There's no reason it needs to be able to access my location even when the app isn't being used. Clicking the move button, and then selecting an activity does nothing. it shows me in Africa (I'm in the States). if I click the arrow (lower right), it will zoom into my correct location. but no matter how much I move (cycle), it never updates, doesn't track my distance/time
Basically junk. Doesn't actually pull any data from my Garmin account even though it's linked (and I confirmed in Garmin app that Squadeasy is a connected app). My company used United heros app last year and that worked fine. Steps are always less than half of what my Garmin watch records, presumably because it's not using Garmin at all and just records phone steps (which isn't always on me). I've ran 3 times since linking and nothing has been imported, steps or activities.
This is a very poor user experience. Activities can only be done via GPS in the app with no allowance for manual input of stationary workouts (treadmill, elliptical, etc). When mid-acticity in the app, you have to press and hold to pause or finish. I have never seen that before on any other app, should only have to press a button to do these actions. Can only pull steps from Google Fit and not activities... why?! Also no ability to link to Samsung Health. Finally, it's just very buggy and slow
I love my squad and the motivation they give me. I was hoping that this reboot would be less buggy than the previous version. Teammates and myself have runs that don't sync and don't get notifications on the chat even though our settings allow them. Those are the two most important features for me. Many of the bugs have been eliminated and is now quite enjoyable.
