Lawgivers II is a political simulation game that features multiple ways to run for elections, approve/reject bills and rule. Start your political adventure from the very bottom and perhaps one day, lead your nation to become the most influential in the world.
◉ Discover diverse political systems across dozens of countries, ranging from first-past-the-post to proportional d’Hondt representation.
◉ Control a politician within a party and choose to play for national prestige, party influence, or personal gain.
◉ Propose, debate, and vote on bills in the plenary that impact the economy, happiness, and global stability.
◉ Forge ties with organizations, negotiate deals with other parties, or unite in a coalition.
◉ Make use of corruption and other shady activities to raise black money or to pass controversial laws in Parliament or Congress.
◉ No ads. No microtransactions. A complete experience. One purchase — endless replayability.
Lawgivers II is the bigger, badder sequel to Lawgivers - it's a lot more in-depth, and more ambitious than the original. There's a lot of flexibility in the game - you can either be a pro-democratic, anti-corruption party, or just be a complete bastard, and let the country go to hell. The one complaint I have thus far is that there's no "all researches" option - it can get a bit repetitive going through all the researches over and over again. Overall, I'd say that it's a superior game.
When choosing the realistic electorate system, France, the UK, and the USA have very realistic election maps, but South Korea’s map is completely random. This is odd, because Korea has a long history of certain regions being conservative or liberal strongholds, as well as others that function as swing regions. The country would be far more playable if this were updated. Otherwise, love the game and keep up the good work!
There's a bug where making a custom regional party instead makes a national party when the game starts. Hate that I can't save the custom parties and custom party names like the last game did, very annoying. I also can't seem to make more than one custom party. Other than QoL problems and bugs the game is a good way to pass the time and offers some interesting choices for each playthrough. It simulates elections in an interesting and complex way which is fun to watch on the map.
Great game, only thing keeping this from being 5 stars is the lack of mods on mobile. An in-game mod library would be very nice ngl.
