Seems like it would be a great game, but the controls do not work, no matter what I do. On a Chromebook, keyboard controls do not have a jump button. At all. Left and right (+/-) punch buttons are mapped to the left and right directional arrows. It makes it nearly impossible to play. Plugging in a standard Logitech USB gamepad works, but the punch buttons aren't mapped on the gamepad. Thus, the only way to play is to use the left and right arrow keys on the keyboard WHILE using the gamepad. Pass
This is the type of game i thought i hated. And for the first few minutes i kinda did. It's the kind of game where literally nothing is explained to you and you are left to assume everything. After a few minutes of being frustrated at not having a clue what the point of the game is and at being forced to discover what can "kill" you (it just sends you back a small distance, not a big deal) through trial and error, the game slowly becomes quite fun and it's rewarding to discover what to do.
Fun game, but very buggy. The mechanics are floaty and the magnets don't always work like they're supposed to. Like the room with the slopes to make the bar you stand on go across the room does not work after the first time it's used. The Big Square South Magnet just doesn't push it as strongly and the small magnets underneath don't push it up at all making crossing it impossible. Also the Hitboxes for the Gloves to change polarities bug out so they don't connect like they should.
The bad? The cloak gives out after a few seconds for no reason sometimes, or other times because you touch to move. At least half of my deaths were because of this extremely frustrating issue. The good? The game is beautiful, unique, intriguing, challenging, and sometimes unforgiving (especially the bosses!). The story is also interesting, the ending is cool, and the REAL ending is touching. All in all, I'm glad I played it, but only because I got it through Play Pass.
