There is a lot to like about this launcher, and it has several creative options. There are two negatives that kept me from giving it 5 stars. First of all, I very much like to be able to locate the search bar where I want it (not just top or bottom), and I like to be able to resize the search bar. The second negative IMO is, I have gotten used to having a sub-grid spacing option in other launchers.
Used this launcher for years and have liked it better than others. HOWEVER even though you buy this launcher, (pro version), after a certain amount of time if you don't "support" them (aka, continue to pay them for using their app), you start to have limited access to features--like only being able to use Bing vs other search engines. SUPER SKETCHY!
From 5 stars to 3.5 - I loved this launcher years ago. I got the premium version and love my setup with covers and folders. At some point though my backed up settings got messed up and many things would change to "name_not_found" and I couldn't find a way to fix it other than starting from scratch. Now for the past year my home screen freezes and I have to fight to get to "restart app" and then the issue is resolved... but I'm ready to switch. Happens 1 to 10 times a day.
I used to use Action Launcher, but left Android for a while. When I came back, I was eager to download and upgrade to premium. Unfortunately, it's too buggy for me. Shutters only load/update about 60 percent of the time, there are random display glitches. Those issues coupled with the fact that it's 4.99 (in addition to upgrading to premium) to use Google as your search engine will push me to another launcher.
