I find the app to be difficult to navigate and very basic/limited. There are long pauses between entries. You can not do much as far as changes within an itinerary, like look to make changes in flights, etc.. I assign myself an exit row seat, and then it's gone, and I have the last row, middle seat? Slow and cumbersome.
Update: Works fine now. It seemed like they were having problems in general as the website was also lagging. User interface is better but says that mobile check in is not available for my upcoming flight. Checked in through the website, got my boarding pass on email and I'm still getting the same message on the app. Also, it's not possible to use the old app anymore. Least you can do before releasing a new app and blocking the old, is to test if it actually works properly.
One year after my original review: The app is still full of bugs. Every time I try to open it I get a message that the version is no longer supported and I need to install the latest version. Clicking the button takes me to the Google Play Store, from where I can actually open the app... And these are just the steps I need to take to get in, nevermind trying to do something as complicated as booking a ticket or managing an existing reservation. Ridiculous.
Edit: after the last update and clearing the cache, the app is much more stable. rating updated. Constant crashes, totally unstable. Additionally, Aegean seems obsessive about security, requiring constant re-logins, 2-factor authentications etc, as if hackers are out there trying to spend my miles to buy me tickets. The end result is an app constantly requiring to switch to other apps (password manager, mail etc), which causes it to crash and restart the login process when switching back.
