I remember really loving this game as a kid, and would always highly recommend it. But after picking it up again, and reloading a very old character and save, I was first prompted with an """offer""" of doing an IAP to get OP items which I declined. Then immediately hopped into a chapter 9 boss level that was just really repetitive and annoying, not in a challenging sense, but just a needlessly overpowered sense to incentivize the user to pay for revives and equipment. Just make it P2P.
I normally don't play this type of mobile game because I much prefer a controller in my hands or a keyboard (points to the device for making it PC-compatible, btw), but it looked too good Not to try. It's even more fun than I expected, and quite a challenge, balancing Action & Strategy! Once you get your bearings and figure out which Class suits you, it really starts coming together! If the concept and screenshots capture your interest, you'll probably enjoy this game!
Magic Rampage markets itself as an RPG. However, at least for early game, your class does not seem to mean anything whatsoever in terms of gameplay. Instead, every weapon, even a sword, is just a gravityless projectile shooter. THEY EVEN HAVE THE SAME CHARACTER ANIMATION! It could be a good game, but it doesn’t give the immersion I was looking for. Devs, tell me if I missed something latergame.
Incredible game, awesome cross play between computer, tablet, and Xbox controller. It's easy enough for anyone to play, even if you suck at video games like me, and explorative enough to add difficulty for people who are completionists. It's just a fun, chill game that anyone could easily play and enjoy. It's also like ad free (I think) and not at all pay to win. in fact you don't need to spend any money to get the whole experience.
