Such a great app! Being able to see all the upcoming shows in my area is great. It lets you follow artists and venues, as well as get reminders for upcoming events, as well as post about past shows you've been to. it's also got a button to listen to a quick preview of a band to see if you like them before buying tickets, which they also have a button for, which redirects you to whichever service the venue is using for ticketing. Takes the headache out of going out to see some great bands!
I don't get alerts when a band is like is coming. Even thought setting is on. App used to be great. A lot of times if im not home I can't sign in and I can't view my tickets. Says to go to Ticketmaster and that's even worse. Says to close app or wait. I don't want to or can't wait if im on my way to a concert. Been missing out on excellent seats because of no alerts and can't sign in. Please fix asap.
Bandsintown used to be one of my favorite apps. i used it to discover new artists and track shows by listening to snippets and saving artists. now I can still use it to track shows, but the playback feature stopped working after they contracted with ai, so it only functions to look at concert dates. would give five stars, but if we're being real, there are other apps that can do this for me and bandsintown took a downgrade about 2 yrs ago. it's not *special* anymore. it used to be so rad :,(
UPDATE after 2y of using this really loving & recommending it, it's not so great.Now the notification stay frozen. You can't read any concert info you get. It's not up-to-date on telling when tickets go on sale or presale. It doesn't show all the bands in the show. UPDATE I've uninstalled, updated the app and I still can't see notifications. Then after I try to open notifications from artists,the entire app freezes and I have to exit and reopen. After they changed the format, it hasn't worked
