They did this RIGHT. The more you play, the more there is to do. You start searching islands for the monster fish. Then you go deep sea fishing, trawling, into events, tournaments, etc. There are 0 forced ads. There are enough reward ads to keep playing at your tolerance level. If you overwhelm yourself, the game will suck (lesson learned.) But if you chill and pick what matters to you, the game is great and can go forever. You must try it. Others could use it to model game design. Thanks devs!
I've played lots of "idle" games, and this one is a complete dud. The "frenzy" in Fishing Frenzy is the frenzy of pop ups begging you to spend money. Spend money on what? It's a stupid idle game, who would ever pay a nickel for anything? And the magnet thing is really bad. You click, look for red or green, and repeat. Over and over and over and over. Do yourself a favor, skip this game. It's not good.
The concept is really fun, I love the idea of advancing to new boats, finding new fish, etc.. What ISN'T nice is the pure money grabbing. I understand they need to make a living, but goblin crackers this is overboard. $10 a week is the cheapest option of going ad free, $10!! That's insane. Make it a one time payment! What the heck are you guys doing?!? Plus ads are insane. 1 minute ad just to get 5 minutes of 2x profit. Most games give at least an hour. Just no.
Don't do it unless you like watching ads or you want to pay. After several levels, ads just start popping up. Spend the game dollars on things like anglers or transporters, etc... and it doesn't give them. It gets pretty stupid with the cost/reward increase after a few levels. The same old stupid ads just keep getting longer the more you play. I went with 1 star because I can't give it any less...
