Nice, simple game, but hero purchase and upgrades are way, way too expensive. Just to purchase the 2nd hero, it cost 20,000 coins. With level rewards only a couple of hundred coins each at most, it would take forever to get enough coins, and that's only if don't use some of the coins to upgrade the towers. The only quicker way to get the 2nd hero is to purchase the most expensive coin package ($50), and 3rd hero costs even more. Only on 6th level, already have map with multiple exits.
This started off as a great game. But now it has become horrible. I don't mind occasional ads an they have hardly any in this game but instead they have gone the other way... Pay to win. The first several levels are easy... A little too easy... Then all of a sudden you hit a level you can not win without purchasing boosts. Now they do give you a way to get them without using cash but you would really have to do a LOT of grinding on the lower levels just to get through this one level. Not 4 me.
My main complaint is you can hit the button to allow the next wave to start early, it gives you +20 coins max for doing this because it makes the game harder. You can see +20 pop up on the screen when you hit it. However you get the same amount of coins at the end of the game no matter what. I can hit it early or not and the pay is the same. So it's a blatant lie. Another complaint I have is it's too slow. x 2 speed just seems normal and normal seems slow mo.
If you are looking for a tower defense game without a ton of ads and wanting to just play an offline TD game. This is the one. It auto puts down build spots on map so you don't have a choice on where to put your towers but I haven't had a issue on that. It's fun and it has a angry birds level select which I like. All and all if you want a fun offline tower defense game this is the one for you
