You might as well do nothing when you're on defense, because the controls don't matter anyway. It randomly switches players for you, sometimes to someone nowhere near, and the players run without your input, so why bother? Also the game pulls random BS to make you want to pay real money. Yesterday my team was in full health. Log in today and find three of my best players injured despite not playing any matches! Just a cheat to make you want to pay to heal them...
I really love the game. The only problem I have is not knowing my players' abilities in the middle of the game, so I have to match name with ability. So it would be really nice if their abilities were on the screen when you are controlling them during a game. (ie. while I am using my kicker his abilities should be on screen so I know if he'll do a grubber kick or a sky kick better, or if he had any other abilities for the situation I'm in while I'm using him)
only thing is just ads really. that I dislike so much. you guys have where you can pay for lots of stuff in the game but not a way to pay to remove ads. I want all ads gone! $19.99 would be solid just for that and toss in some other stuff like unlimited energy too and that would be great. I love it but I don't want any type of ads whatsoever to ruin my experience. Also maybe introduce where you can play against others online maybe??
I expected much more from Rugby Nations 2026. It feels more like a small update than a new game. There's still no Career Mode or Online Multiplayer, no noticeable graphics improvements, new animations, cutscenes, or more realistic gameplay phases. Kits, squads, rugby balls, and team uniforms also feel outdated and repetitive. Without meaningful updates or licensed content, it's hard to justify a new edition. Please add Career Mode, Multiplayer, better graphics, updated rosters, and licensed kits
