User Reviews
Nice small scale sandbox, but I learned the hard way that you can crash the game if you try to embed a circuit with too many gates. A basic computer with a small scale ram might be possible. A few optimizations to the game would seriously help. Also, PLEASE ADD 8-BIT LINES. Edit: I was able to get an 8 bit computer working with 8 bytes of ram. Turns out I was just using too many gates.
This app works great for small-scale circuits, but not as much for larger ones. I would use this more if there was an option to merge or split wires into sets of 4 or 8, but that sadly isn't an option. I'd reccomend this app for people who want to make tiny circuits, but not for large circuits like anything bytewise or more.
This is, by far, the best digital circuit simulator that I have used. That being said, I have a few suggestions- -Because the user can change the clock frequencies of pulse generators, it is redundant to have multiple versions of the same item. Also, allow higher frequencies. -Allow the use of Bluetooth controllers. -Allow a fulscreen mode for the LED matrix with the (maximum) resolution matching the user's device. -Allow exporting as a self contained binary.
One of the best I've used except for one small thing: multibit lines and IO. Trying to build a 16 bit computer currently and it is incredibly tedious setting up IO, going through 49 IO on just a 16 bit selector. Another suggestion, although it isn't as important, is to be able to see lights in an IC. For example, putting a light in a simple latch to see the stored value would be a very helpful quality of life improvement.
