FAR too many ads, long ones, too. I enjoy the puzzles and will probably keep the app a while longer, but it's almost an ad in between every single game. also, if you're playing on the hardest setting, it's easy to hit a wrong square and when you run out of the 3 given mistakes, it's an ad for every single mistake after. it's almost unbearable to the point I would delete the app, but not quite, hence the 2nd star on the app
I've had this game for years and I've always loved how simple and endless the puzzles were, but this past year the ads have gotten out of control. There are ads when I first open the app, then again when I start a level, 2min mandatory ads after passing a level, temu ads that automatically open up my browser,and random ads in the middle of a level without prompting. If this is going to continue, I will uninstall the game and find a new one.
1. Emoji reactions when you finish rows now aren't disabled by removing ads. Distracting and annoying. 2. Daily goals rise based on activity and don't lower until you fail, easily reaching a point where an hour+ is REQUIRED per day, even if cheesing on easy. 3. It's way too easy to mark unintended squares, esp on Hard+, even using a stylus. There's no way to zoom, so Expert is unplayable on a phone. 4. There's no way to transfer progress between devices. New phone = start over.
The 1st 5 puzzles are great. Then this happens. You beat the puzzle? Ad. You lost the puzzle? Ad. You beat one corner of the 4 part puzzle? Ad. You lost the puzzle and want to get a life back? Ad. Do you just want to reset? An Ad. Remember when removing ads in free games was .99 cents? Now it's 18$ after tax. For Sudoku. That's the price of a modern triple a title. What the hell are we doing?
