I love the art style and the Wuxia-inspired world and characters. Aside from that, however, the gameplay and UI leave a lot to be desired. Instead of feeling intuitive and fun, it ends up feeling vague and confusing. Certainly worse options out there, but there are also much better offerings in this genre.
Like every one of these games. they do barrage you with "buys these limited offers" so much it clogs the interface. and they put more effort into that then a fun game. the rift navigation is horrid. particularly on the stealth missions. you get blocked by everything. want to explore a new area? did you cut down 80000 logs? you want to go the the next cultivation level? you need 5 sect levels which take a week to get. Everything is needless clicking meant to push you to spend money.
I've been playing this game for 2 weeks now, and it has been a wonderful experience. It is easily F2p, but if you want to rank with higher BP players, you'd have to pay. I was easily able to level my sect up and my bp before even deciding to spend money on the game. There is much to do, and the free rewards are very generous. There is much to do beginning game, but the more you progress, the more you have to do, but it makes sense.
If you like cultivation novels, the theme of the game is quite appealing. Unfortunately it falls to the whims of greed. It's most definitely a money pit and is full of pay walls for everything. The game has potential but greed kills it, like usual. Anyway, have a nice day.
