The game for the first couple months was fun and easy to play. Then all of a sudden it's like the difficulty got ramped up. No matter how much I spend to level up, no matter how perfect my run is, I lose. I wouldn't mind honestly because I do still find it fun to play, but it's so sad to always lose and then not able to progress in any way with the daily achievements when they require trophies or wins. I could spend every coin on an upgrade and it makes no difference. No drive to keep playing.
Listen, as much as I love little big planet, this game is a major flop. It's just a worse subway surfers. The grafics are low and as soon as I turn them up, the game brakes. That doesn't happen with any other games I have. Run Sackboy, Run is much better. My disappointment is immeasurable. Also, making kids think they're "missing out" on something that has them pay money for is lower than low. There's more things wrong with this game than Hogwarts legacy. Which at least has good game mechanics.
The game is fun and charming at first but it pretty quickly gets old. There's really not much to do. It portrays itself as an online game, letting you set a username, but doesn't actually let you play online with real people. It's just kind of a generic game in a sea of temple run rip offs. Also they gave Sackboy a voice and it sounds so strange, definitely makes it feel less like a character that can represent you.
The game is enjoyable only because I love sackboy. Overall the game is designed to be grindy as ever. How well you perform is irrelevant if your power level is not high enough. Your ability to increase your power level is limited by those stupid bags which you have to wait a centain amount of time to unlock. The amount of coins you get from winning a race is way too low for the cost of higher level costumes. Most your play time is unrewarded as you have to wait for the next day for more missions
