ROME: Total War requires Android 12 or later. You need 4GB of free space on your device, though we recommend at least double this to avoid initial installation issues.
To avoid disappointment, we aim to block users from purchasing a game if their device is not capable of running it. If you are able to purchase this game on your device then we expect it to run well in most cases.
However, we are aware of rare instances where users are able to purchase the game on unsupported devices. This can occur when a device is not correctly identified by the Google Play Store, and therefore cannot be blocked from purchasing. For full details on the supported chipsets for this game, plus a list of tested and verified devices, we recommend that you visit https://feral.in/rometw-android-devices

This was my first Total war game before Total War: Empire. I have to say this game is super cool and definitely entertaining especially if you're a fanatic of ancient warfare and civilization, not to mention being a Roman Empire fanatic lol. The game is super great, everything works well, different factions to choose from, and you got a wholeee lot to conquer. Would really love to see this game get a remastered edition similar to that of the steam version.
This is the old Rome Total War, not remastered. It wasn't clear to me, because I saw it and immediately impulse bought. So, that being said, this is also a direct port. Rome still has all the jank, the nostalgia, the incredible music, the quotes I fell in love with, and the weird bugs I guess I never noticed until I played this version. Sometimes path finding is stuck. Unit control is rough too. Best to auto resolve, and manage your economy better. I love it regardless, and recommend.
My only issue is the game needing to reverify while connected to the internet occasionally. As for everything else the game is Rome: Total War which is a great game. This is more about Feral Interactive. The game is updated years later, support is helpful if needed according to others, never had bugs or issues, has cloud saves, runs efficiently so your battery is not drained quickly, and they are essentially the only source of proper PC ports. They do a great job so the price is justified.
This is a great adaptation of a classic game to Android. Alas, it requires an internet connection to start up in order to "validate the license". So you can't play it on a long flight. This is more than a little annoying to discover when already airborne. I can't think of a reason why they do this every single time instead of only occasionally.
