Beautiful graphics, engaging storyline. Music style creates tension and sense of urgency. My Fav parts are the mini puzzles. Not so interested in the find and seek portions of these games, or finding "collection items", which are repetitive from one game to another. Many of these are hard to find on a smaller screen. Like that you can purchase hints if you want them as opposed to having to waste time watching irrelevant ads. Have purchased/ played pretty much every game by this developer.
The game itself is perfectly enjoyable, but they shaft you on the ads. If you click to watch for a hint, it won't show you ANYTHING if you're not standing in the exact location. So, you've just made them money with no return for your time. And the ads are long. That is unethical. People click to watch because they don't know the next step.
As much as I love most Five-BN HOP adventure games and the NY Mysteries series, I really, really wish the option to purchase the game was less than $20. Just a few years ago games like this cost $7 or $8, and now it's more than doubled! I fully understand the need to pay for development of the games but this seems excessive. Still, I dig NY Mysteries and am completely devoted to Lost Lands.
Surreal. She's much older and sounds weird, so no Nancy Drew this round. Only 3 Chapters. The mini games have varying degrees of difficulties (most fairly easy). The backyard bearings game took me many tries to figure out (excellent), but some of the searches were so difficult with final items (especially hidden objects ones: final octopus and "mustache"). Never found out where Noah ended or how the varnish was discovered/made? A lot missing from story, but good challenge overall.
