I don't know if anyone else has this issue but the notification sound is unbearably loud to the point it hurts my ears when I am connected with a Bluetooth device. Even with no Bluetooth device connected to the phone, it is unreasonably loud. Turning down the volume does absolutely nothing. No other app has this issue. So I don't know why this app is the only one that blasts my ears off whenever I receive a message.
I hate this app. Slow to respond, not intuitive to locate essential functions. For example, to reply to a message you have to click on a tab labelled "Replies" - this implies previous replies already stored, not a new one you'd like to make. Another example, every item already confirmed is still listed under To Do, instead of under Done. I do NOT recommend SchoolFox.
Useful for one-way communication mostly: teacher to parents. Even this bit isn't working reliably as oftentimes notifications won't fire. There's no way I can initiate a chat with a teacher. If that's be because the school hasn't granted this type of permissions to parents, I want to see a respective warning in the app. Also, can't create a parents' chat.
The app is clunky, slow to load data and switch screens. The transition between old and new app could have been handled better. No explanation given why we need to move to the new app. All data from the old app is gone. Overall the user experience is pretty bad, the app feels like it is built by a bunch of amateurs. Makes me wonder if my children's data is safe enough with them...
