I am using a TCL 60, which does not have a built-in app locker or two-factor identification for apps. I have downloaded and tried many of the app lockers and calculator app lockers available on Play store. every one of them suffered. easy to delete, alter or sometimes damaging information. this app locker worked perfectly from the get-go, and I was so impressed I immediately purchased the ad-free option. for five bucks you can't go wrong. very happy with the app.
Excellent app! I haven't found any bugs yet (I'll change the review if I do). A quick description of it for anyone looking to get the app is it asks for permissions to be over an app and then it asks you to drag a line password. (Pins are also available!) When you lock an app, it pops up and asks for the password you made. This is really smart if you have kids using your phone, snooping friends/parents, etc.
I've loved applock for several years, but it just seems to be getting buggier. It randomly but frequently locks apps that I don't want locked. I also paid for the ad free version, and 3 weeks later the ads came back (tried to message support but got no answer). The ads also are much longer than they used to be, and pop up more frequently. I'm on the hunt for something better.
The concept is nice, although it seems a little too aggressive at times, as it locks not only when you open the app but also when you do things in the app. If I already unlocked an app once, it should stay unlocked until the app has been closed or at least minimised. Sometimes, it also asks you to unlock twice in a row.
