The gameplay is great, and if that is all this game was, it would be a solid 8.5-9 out of 10. The biggest issue is the cash shop. It is egregiously predatory, extremely overpriced, and basically a slot machine simulator built around a fantasy game. You cannot simply buy what you want, it's all a gamble. The further down the rabbit hole you go only finds more things to compete for your dollar. Mounts, backwear, gems, cards, lieutenants, gear forging, etc. all contribute to your overall power.
For pay pigs only. There's no point or strategy to this game beyond paying money for better stuff. Need to beat the next tower level? 39.99 should do it! The gameplay itself is click all the red explanation points and collect your "free stuff" for about 30 minutes, then auto play about 5 easy levels. After that you're stuck for the day unless you want to pay more money.
This game has turned into a terrible cash grab, from constantly being pushed $50 packs down to the game having an "auto play" that is automatically turned on each match. The game used to be well built and fun to play, now it feels like a bad rush to push you faster and faster into the game. The levels are short... like less than a minute long short. It is beyond disappointing to see a game that used to be top tier lower itself down to such sad pandering, micro-transactions, and terrible play.
Good graphics. Gameplay, when there is Gameplay, is enjoyable. Problems come from not knowing you jumped too far ahead too fast. Hit level 38, was supposed to unlock a Chess Themed mini-room battle, but I beat that 2 days ago. Now I've got nothing I can fight and the "Events" are few and far between. IN GENERAL, the game concept is firmly "Overwhelm Overstimulate, Give Lots of Reward Noises" but I feel like I've been stuck in a theme park Rollercoaster line that's not moving at all for hours.
