This has been a really helpful app for when I want to keep track of my ideas and such; it can be a bit confusing but you get the hang of it over time. There's the problem of having to pay for backup and to sync it over devices, but it's not very expensive ($4 a month) and as far as I know the only thing you have to pay for (and you can get past this by putting your work on a Google doc or something to keep it safe). One complaint is the multiple AI things; it's kind of insulting as a creative.
Decent app, just wish there was a pc version. I know the website is for pc, but it just simply doesn't load. It says, "Apologies, this will take like 5 seconds" when it reality I had that thing open for an hour and it still didn't load. I wish downloading the files also worked on mobile, at least porting some sort of image of my timeline would be cool.
I don't usually give low reviews, but... the app is not user-friendly. The concept is solid, but they don't make easy to navigate. For instance, I was playing around to learn app, and made 2 characters. However it took me forever to find the 2nd character and link them. It feels like there be adjustments that makes it easier to use. I probably look for something else and make sure it's easy to transfer writing to Scrivener for editing.
I only needed this kind of app to keep track of my story's very in depth history. But there are so many additional features people can use to keep track of their story. For me, I can color-code events, set them in different eras, name the eras and decide how long they are, and there's even little symbols to pick what kind of event they are (I'd love more icon design options honestly.) I have different events for different nations and now I can have them all shown parallel to each other
