Update: More than 3 weeks after first contacting customer service and almost 3 weeks after leaving 1 star review and complete silence from customer service regarding any solution. I purchased AppLock Pro. It does not work. I've been in contact with customer support, who keep telling me to do the same thing, which doesn't work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I have manually selected "restore purchases" via the app.
Android user here. It took about 10 minutes to figure out how to get around this app’s “lock” system. Since it relies on ads, turning on airplane mode lets you open messages without any lock. Even with service, you can still swipe up and hold to view message previews through the app switcher. So it’s not really secure—more like a basic layer that’s easy to bypass.
The app is free. It gives you the option for biometric unlocking (face and fingerprint) or 4 - or 6-digit password. Ads do pop up if you have that app locked, but they barely pop up, like I barely see them. (Also, if you just close out of the app while an ad is showing and re open it the ad won't be there anymore) I love this app! it gives you privacy, and it's not one of those apps with a bug that destroys and takes over your phone. It also takes pics if someone get the password wrong! 🤭😭
This app is super buggy. Do not download. I opened it to setup, granted permissions, then it immediately locked ALL my apps, I didn't even setup a password, so I couldn't unlock them or undownload the app. It couldn't get to my phone, Google Play store, settings, ANYTHING without a password I NEVER set. Then an ad took over my WHOLE screen. I had to restart my phone, immediately turn the permission off so it can't display over other apps. I'm leaving the review as a warning. DO. NOT. USE.
