Latest app version is poor. Roomba refuses to connect for minutes, finally does, gets stuck in a corner, and then cancelling takes minutes more. Judging from other recent reviews, it's clear that Robot changed some important parts of their app or servers in the past release. I can't recommend this app or product unless they can consistently make it work.
I had mine bought specifically with animal hair in mind. It does ok at sweeping, it might as well be a door stop when it comes to carpet. I've tried anti-static spray, too. It seems to lose connection a lot, and I write this review after I told it to run, and it stopped mid-process, and didn't register that it made an attempt at all, so, much more difficult to find out the problem. For the price, and the hype of all the work it would save me, I don't have to sweep my hardfloors as much, I guess.
It doesn't connect. I've had nothing but issues with this device. It refuses to connect to my new Wi-Fi, even if I create a 2.4 GHz network as instructed.My router does have the 2.4 built-in but it doesn't see that either. this is a disaster and I cannot use unless I just push the button and let it do its own thing. not very helpful and cannot get help fixing this. keep getting links telling me to try this and it doesn't work. wish I'd never bought this item.
Unit shipped with NO instructions. Online booklet inadequate. Spent hours trying to find info just to get support. All stickers in Spanish. Finally got chat--cut me off 3 times and error persists. THIS MACHINE WILL NOT CONNECT TO THE INTERNET. And the "support" people are no help. Chat disconnects after 3 minutes no one types. I'm not a computer genius, but I know where the on button is. This is my 3rd and LAST ROOMBA. The first two were great. Apparently that over. Amazon, shame on you too.
