Hardly ever actually connects. I had mine for about a month, and things were perfectly fine. Now, it just suddenly won't connect. BT works fine for music, but I can no longer control the light itself. Only option I have now, is to flip the switch... and that's it! Apparently many other have been having this issue. Though I enjoy the product when it works, if ever... I think I'll be purchasing a new bulb, from a different manufacturer. Shame.
My parents got me this for my bedroom. Overall, it's a good light, but it does need some work. I went to test the different colors and it wouldn't work, only the music was working(fixed). It also doesn't have many options, and the drag color select is a bit off, too. I drag it over to light green, and it's blue. However, I do like the fan, the Bluetooth connection, and that you get a remote. I haven't even tried the timer yet, either. I rate it 4 stars. It's a good light, but it needs work.
It's seriously basic. I would love the option of connecting it to my Alexa for light control. It can only be connected via Bluetooth to one device at a time. You do not get a selection in the app to choose which device is currently connected. Mildly irritated that you cannot control the fan via the app, only the sound quality and lights.
This app asks for too many permissions - The lightbulb is going back to the store. A lightbulb should not need my location data, permission to send and receive phone calls, and access to my phone's storage. Even if there was some feature that made reasonable use of those features (and I have plenty of Bluetooth speakers that I can use for calls without even an app), it should let me just not use those features if I don't give it permission, but instead this app exits.
