Amazing concept, with rather greedy dev cash grab tactics.. I've played this game off and on over several years, and while I think the matching mechanics are incredible, it's far outweighed by the need to spend serious money in order to acquire highest couple of tiers characters. Yes, it is possible to acquire a couple here and there without spending, but because leveling takes duplicates, it's just not realistic.... It's rather sad, as this game could have been a refreshing enjoyable game.
In order to really compete in this game, you either need to be willing to sink hours of time daily into playing, OR you need to be willing to pay lots of money to level up your heroes quickly. Rather than seeing add-ons as fun new things to play, now it feels like just another time suck...I really wish they'd streamline the playing options. That being said, I do still play and mostly enjoy it. I like my guild, and that's the main reason that I continue to return.
It stars out fun. The dailies become a chore and you eventually get stuck in your progress. In fact the bounty daily encourages you to stay stuck because opponents get progressively harder and you can't go down a gang once you complete. It takes 45 minutes to an hour and for what? Not enough gild resources to even upgrade my core team? Let alone all the other gems I collected, so much for play or build diversity. Also chests cost more gems the more you level. I thought I would get the largest chest by the end of the month with a sub, not the case.
This game now sucks, after playing for 3 years and wasted a lot of money they change the game play style. The more you get stronger the less rewards you get. Not worth spending money to get screwed in the end. A waste of 3 years more of an aggravation then a game to have fun with. Too many cheaters and they aren't doing anything about it. You'll never get in a top rank and you can play from daylight to dark for 3+ years and still not have everything maxed out. Puzzle breakers is what you want!
