I love the game itself, but it's ruined by too many ads. They pop up so often that I am watching ads about as often as I am actually playing the game. It's awful. I am being bombarded with ads to try to force me to make a purchase. Why not just sell the game for $3.99 instead of pretending it's free? It also sucks that this isn't playable offline. So 2 stars for being relaxing and fun. -3 stars for the gratuitous use of ads and mandatory internet connection.
Ads and Pay to Win. I used to love this game! I've had it for years and noticed a steady decline. First, the invasive ads. It's one thing to watch ads for rewards, it's another to have that AND invasive ads. Second, now they have "exclusive" koi. If you ever want to complete this game, you'll need to shell out cash every MONTH when they release a new "exclusive" pattern. If you're going to make us pay, at least give us new features or something worth paying for. A new pattern is not new content!
Relaxing, cute, and fun, until the ads kick in. In the beginning, the ads were unobtrusive and the game is super cute, simple, and fun. the graphics are cute, the collection aspect is fun and always growing, and it is an overall fun experience. But after a while, the frequency of ads suddenly increased and became so disruptive that I couldn't play for more that a minute without an ad. At that point I put the game down and I am not sure at all if I will pick it back up.
The ads have become horrible. I used to play this years ago and I don't remember the Ads being this bad. I really love this game but it's sort of become the money maker which is why this will never get a pro or ad free version. I would gladly pay for an ad free version as I love this game and the one before it. I still play Zen Koi Pro regularly. It's really too bad but I would much recommend Zen Koi 1 or Pro over this.
