It's a great concept but very or execution on matching. Just started the match. Oh the other person has more health than me. All of their team is leveled up higher than me. Maybe it was a one off. NO IT WASN'T! After playing for a while every match was like that. And sure with skill and RNG luck you can get your team in the field with hit points and damage that make a difference, but not compared to other players leveled up guys getting more HP and damage off of fewer matches. Just like every other mobile game that I think I like for a little while, it has a good premise but then the amount of luck involved ruins it. When I lose, it's never because I made the wrong moves, it's because I just didn't get anything I could work with. There's at most 4 I can match, then the opponent's side is full of the same color. And there's just whole matches that go that way.
An OK game, or at least has potential to be. Unfortunately, the rng tends to be very one-sided. Add in the power level spikes that result in you getting matched with players whose units are all 2-3 levels higher or lower than you. This results in games that are frequently decided before the first move. In-game resource generation (i.e. gold) is so low that you can't keep up with progression. purchase packages are near worthless. Only game I've regretted spending money on.
It's a fun game at first but not a lot of strategy. The mechanics are pretty simple. It's about 20% strategy and 80% luck. Whoever receives better random blocks per round will win. The bot AI is pretty simple. The block generator does not feel very random though, as you'll notice that bots will have more matching blocks, more often. Edit: Deleted after dev response. They said luck is part of every game. Yes, but luck shouldn't be 80% of the gameplay. Thats the main problem!
