About This App
Kanji Study aims to be a helpful and easy-to-use tool for learning Japanese kanji. The app includes SRS, flashcards, multiple choice quizzes, writing challenges, kanji and word search, custom sets and much more. Kanji Study hopes to be your essential companion for mastering kanji.
The app is not entirely free; however, the free version has no ads and offers unlimited study of beginner kanji, radicals, hiragana and katakana. The dictionary and all info screens are also free and unrestricted. The one-time upgrade unlocks the remaining kanji levels and allows you to create your own custom sets. It also supports the continued development of this project.

great studying at the n5 level. I haven't found if there is a romaji setting, so it has pushed me to learn my katakana better. it uses hiragana and katakana interchangeably. getting a good start before class in the fall. some apps have have little sayings or tricks to remember the kanji. that would be helpful. for instance if I keep forgetting a kanji I'm not able to make a strong connection to the meaning. instead of review only sending me to the full report without any help,maybe a tip/trick.
An excellent app that is constantly improving. The longer I have it, the more I appreciate and use it. I think it would be great if the developer produced add-ons in collaboration with a dictionary publisher, for example, as a way of adding many more high-quality example sentences. The app is certainly solid enough for any publisher to consider it for such a purpose.
Absolutely amazing, best learning app I've ever used. The fact that it's ad free and free for the "beginner" sections (which will probably take me atleast a few months to get through) is just awesome. Furthermore, I absolutely believe the paid stuff is going to be worth it for me when I get there, as it appears to be great value for what you are getting. I could not recommend this more!
I've been studying Japanese on and off for years now and this app is one of the best resources I've found. Imo it's up there with the book series Japanese from Zero. You can only learn a bit for free, but it's a very well made app and the purchases are absolutely worth it for me. The guided study is nice if you only have a little time to study each day, but the kanji study is better if you want to be able to review over and over again quickly.
