This would be my fav app if it didn't lose significant progress so often. It's very frustrating. But otherwise it's super relaxing and fun game. They should add new maps instead of adding the new breeding addition...which randomly removes fish from your aquarium as I have learned the hard way. Luckily it's a beautiful game and I very much joy it and am always so impressed by how accurately the fish are portrayed. And why can't I access Fantasy Sea on the map anymore?
Ads have ruined this game for me. I used to play Fishing and Life frequently and loved the cozy feel of it. Recently, I decided to re-download the game. It's an entirely different experience now. So many features that used to be standard parts of the gameplay now require you to watch unskippable ads (such as feeding the fish in your aquarium and redeeming chests), there are ads for 'naughty AI' on the cabin (breaking immersion), and the UI is cluttered The whole thing feels cheapened :(
This game used to be way better. Super relaxing but with a decent challenge without being frustrating & keeps you engaged enough to go for rare and bigger fish so when you actually hook it you get that sense of achievement & dopamine hit. NOW IT SUCKS. This game like so many others has fallen victim to the EA business model "Get them hooked, then shake them down." Forced ads every 30 seconds, pop-ups for "buy this now" bundles. And I swear they changed the cast mechanics. Uninstalled.
It really is an amazing game, it's both challenging and relaxing. The ad reward system is excellent, it's also a great combination of grinding and idle gaming with options to keep what you catch in a fish tank that earns you in game currency and you can sell what you catch. Great overall game. Edit: I lowered from 5 to 4 over the whole fish summoning thing, don't waste your money, the fish appears nowhere near you, and it's impossible to find, adds stress to the game.
