This is not like Spore, sorry guys. This is like that pirate ship game where everything is on autopilot and you just upgrade the items equipped to your guy. Not to be confused with character creation or customizability. Your character simply evolves upon a preset path of evolutions that you can only level up to, not change in any way. The opening video does a great job at leading you along but ultimately showing you that this game takes place after the cell stage in spore. Sadly, it is not good.
The game itself is very afk friendly and for the most part f2p friendly. Like every game you play there are micro transactions. No forced ads, but you can watch them if you want. If you pay $11 you can have the ads removed but again this is optional. One thing I appreciate is there being only 3 classes you can choose from and it doesn't matter which one you choose because you can switch them at any time. Another cool add on, you can customize the look of your monster making it look unique.
Not a bad game in some respects and I would like to play more but the game has too much going on. Too many menus and sub menus. Upgrades, pets, pet upgrades, different pets and their pet ugrades, scrolls, skills and too many more. Keeping track of everything is a chore and sapped any fun I was having right out.
the cutscenes are great but the first part takes a lot from spore, and they literally took the peashooter, repeater, and sunflower from plants versus zombies and didn't even hide it, the gameplay is mind numbingly boring, the evolution requirements take forever to complete half the time because it's not just Abt leveling up, this is just like every other idle "RPG" game out there, you can customize your creature a little bit it doesn't help the rating edit: It's repetitive and copyright exists
