Constant and extremely expensive micro-transactions. Extremely time consuming for getting and developing characters (1-6 months could be spent on just one). Poorly translated / confusing text (means it's easy to make mistakes if you did purchase anything or spend resources). It's the only KoF mobile game left as far as gacha goes, that's why they make it more and more predatory. Avoid and / or uninstall this game, it is not worthy of the time and money it constantly demands.
Starts off great. Lots of modes and characters. Then it goes the way of every game like this. Too many characters mean you can't find the shards to upgrade. If you can, it's always for the garbage characters. Everyone shares resources, so there is never enough to go around. You can pay to play. But even then with so many ways to upgrade a character. You will pay to hit walls you could have hit for free. Oh and modes like Trial, upgrade with you. So upgrading just pushes the finish line.
King of Fighters is nice, and this game could be better. I've played without spending money for 40 days, and if you're like me and don't want to spend a dime this game might not be for you. Your energy bar seems plentiful, but the amount of grind involved will easily eat it up within minutes. You only get to refill it with currency twice, and the other methods to refill require hours or are just not efficient. Definitely a heavy emphasis on pay to win, pressures you to try and keep up.
I like this game! The gameplay, the visuals, basically everything here is neat! All... but the text. The dialogue text is busted. Not the worst I've seen, but it's definitely bad. Also, the characters don't act like they do in the official KOF material, but if the skip button's there (assuming it is possible to skip dialogue in this game) then that's something avoidable. Overall, good game, but please fix the text errors.
