Children of Morta is a story-driven action RPG with a roguelite approach to character development, in which you don’t play a single character but a whole, extraordinary family of heroes.
Hack’n’slash through hordes of enemies in procedurally generated dungeons, caves and lands and lead the Bergson family, with all their flaws and virtues, against the forthcoming Corruption. The story takes place in a distant land but copes with themes and emotions common to all of us: love and hope, longing and uncertainty, ultimately loss... and sacrifice we are willing to make to save the ones we care the most for.

The game is stunning, interesting concept but like most other complain about...the attacking in this game is honestly horrible. it's extremely blocky, I'll tell my character to attack left and he will swing right or literally not attack at all. It's making the game very unpleasant to play. I'm going to keep trying a little longer but at some point it's gonna get rather annoying to die because they couldn't get the controls down correctly.
It's easily one of the best games on the Play Store... Beautiful little story, Xbox controller supported, silky smooth, engaging fight/die/repeat loop. It's also on Play Pass, so it's a no brainer. A PROPER premium game in every sense of the word, but you're definitely going to want a controller.
I should have downloaded this a long, long time ago!. if you're coming through and passing over this one because you think the graphics look cheesy or something, DON'T! And if you love immersive RPG's this is definitely for you. The only thing I will say is it is a bit battery intensive. not as much as some of the more graphics intensive games but enough so that I noticed a definite difference in the rate of charging while plugged in and playing as compared to some of my other games.
I really wanted to like this game. It has difficult controls and fast monsters but that's OK. I liked the narration. Twice its kicked me out while using a Samsung S21 FE and I lost all progress because it doesnt save progress throughout a level. Im ok with having to start a level over, but losing all the gold and exp is horrible...especially if I dont know if ill be kicked out.
