My son loves it. I would not describe it as non-addictive though. he's 3 and he gets really upset when we take the kindle (pok pok)away from him. Additionally, we have 2 kindles and downloaded on both. I've found the app to be slow and sometimes freezes. I troubleshot the issue for a few days and none of the changes I've made make a difference. My conclusion is that it's the app since its both kindles. We like it but it is kind of clunky.
I should've read the reviews first. The ads DO make it out to be a free app, and the responses to the many people saying that are NOT a good look for you. After seeing the responses, I looked at all the details on the playstore and scoured the website. There is ZERO information about subscription pricing. The website does say there's a subscription, but you don't find out pricing until you download it and go through all the prompts. Transparency matters, and there is none with this app.
both of my kids enjoy the free roaming element of the app and it opens up the chance to talk about and explore things that don't often come up in day to day life. it was a lifesaver on our recent flight and I love that it's not dependent on internet! my only issue is that sometimes the kids find it frustrating that the way they want to explore some of the scenes don't actually exist but this is no fault of the app as they can't anticipate every child's next move! overall we love this app 😋
Said they want to send physical packs out free "world wide" if we subscribe and leave a review. I subscribed. I left a review. I live in the UK. Once I'd given them all my info/data (which is the real value that they want), they said they don't deliver to the UK. Why not just be up front and not make we waste my time? Very bad way to begin my experience with a new subscription.
