Don't bother with events. After the first zone it's completely impossible to get far without needing to buy anything to boost. There's no way to get close to finishing within the time frame, very P2W. The main game is fine but you lose everything you upgraded and automated for that town. It's a cute money grab, I guess. Talk about having no faith in your product.
The little "critters" are super cute; I love the way they're animated. I'm not a fan of the actual gameplay; it's kind of convoluted and not easy to figure out quickly. I actually gave up playing because I was about to read the tutorial, and I hate having to do that, so I gave up. Sorry cute little critters, devs made your game too complicated for me to enjoy. 3☆ because they are so darn cute.
It's cute, though it is an idle game so you spend far more time not in game waiting for things to progress. You're inundated with pop ups asking you to buy packs and watch ads - if you close them it leaves a red exclamation mark on your screen while you're playing. It's distracting. Playside has also ignored my multiple customer service requests sent directly through their website's contact form, which normally isn't surprising with these kinds of games, but I did not expect that from Playside.
Wish the prizes for placing in the top spots for events were better but I still like to play the game and get different monsters. Please make it an option to verify diamond spends though! I accidentally click yes to get a higher level monster (not worth it!) for that level only and it spends the diamonds I've saved and bought. This would be so helpful!
