Do you like the idea of Chess, but want it to be a bit more and wilder?
Like so much it's maybe too much even?
XESS features 16 characters/factions to choose from, with unique units and setups.
Among these are two characters representing regular chess and shogi.
Select one of 7 relics to complement your units.
You also have 4 spells to further mix up gameplay, two from the character and two from the relic.
Spells are powered by collecting "blood", a resource that spawn nearby when a unit is captured.
Win by either capturing the king (or destroy every unit in case the opponents faction doesn't have a king!) or by holding the center tile for a certain time.
There's online multiplayer, puzzle levels, a short story mode, an endless challenge mode and a mediocre-at-best AI for versus.

The art style drew me in and even though I don't know a thing about chess it was fun and puzzling working out all the moves I could do. Definitely wanted to buy it when I saw that these are the same people who made ittle dew. Played that so much years ago on my WiiU
Needs more players never see anyone else to play against in online mode. Otherwise this game is an awesome concept. Fun chess style game with unique characters and modes. Not pay to win. No in app purchases, no ads
Yeah like the description says, decent but still new.... I never get online opponent tho, but its understandable. By the way i still dont know how to play multiplayer using 'play-by-massage' features. I mean how i suppossed to type the number it needed? Its android, not PC so i dont know how to do it. (BTW im gonna rate this game 5 star because i think its the first review on this game(i think))
Very nice game. There are 64 puzzles to play as well as a chess-like game style with pieces that can do all sort of movements. Very nice game!
