Welcome to the Underworld—a land of monsters and mutants who eat humans for breakfast.
One such monster—a hulking ogre by the name of Roy—has no interest in eating humans. But one day, he and his best friend Golan stumble upon a lost little girl named Meg, and discover something truly terrifying: the moment she starts wailing in fear, a blood-red hue washes over the sky, and the earth itself begins to tremble and quake.
That’s right: this small girl’s tears hold the power to bring forth the apocalypse—and the only way to stop it is for them to help find her mother so she can make it safely back home.
Meg’s Monster is a short, story-driven JRPG with a big twist. Players control Roy, who begins the game with 99,999 HP and is virtually untouchable—but the real concern is keeping Meg safe, because if she starts crying, it’s game over for everyone. Players will have to master the unique mechanics and mini-games baked into each battle, all while protecting Meg and using her favorite toys to keep her pacified.
Over the course of their journey together, Roy and Meg will encounter a host of quirky and colorful characters, all lovingly rendered in Odencat’s trademark vibrant pixel aesthetic that makes even scary monsters look cute. There’s plenty of drama and intrigue to be found here—and even previously defeated enemies can be befriended through optional sub-events.
What begins as a relatively simple and heartwarming story about two unlikely friends ultimately expands into something much greater, as Roy and Meg slowly begin to unravel the mysteries surrounding the Underworld and themselves. The result is an emotional journey that, like any good storybook, will remain in your heart for years to come.

Very Solid story, can be finished in an afternoon with minimal ad breaks, all of them voluntary. Worth a download if you enjoy short stories with some zanny characters splashed in. The combat is very simple with new mechanics coming in to spice it up but it's generally impossible to fail until the last sequence. I only wish there was a more complex version I could buy that focused on the same premise while being a full rpg.
Another Odencat masterpiece. I fell in love with Odencat's Fishing Paradisio over a year ago. I loved the story telling and the fishing mechanics. This game is just as brilliant. The main story and dlc are equally fantastic and absolutely worth the money. The fight mechanics and small puzzles were all very fun but definitely stuck around for the story. Absolutely recommend to anyone who loves a shortish and sweet story and simple battles in games. The music is also so splendid. 11/10
I have just fallen in love with this game today! The artstyle the dialogue the incredible music and the unique gameplay all stand out to me to make an incredibly emersive experience and the extra content is a pleasant surprise bonus, as well as the feature to remove adds even though they both cost. My only gripe with this is that as far as I know its not on console but I look forward to whatever the team makes next and wish nothing but success! Edit: I will be getting the Nintendo version thanks
Gorgeous game. Both art wise and woth writing. Seeing Roy, Meg, and Golan grow together, especially in the true ending, legit got me teary eyed. Can't wait to grab the Lost Memories DLC. Only complaint is that the game lags hard during moments when text appears outside of a text box. ex. when examining the photo at the beginning or the flower field scenes.
