great app. I got my amateur extra with nothing but this. I live the improve section. shows you clearly your weakest subjects. the issue. perfect for Technician. getting into General Exam practice, questions on the test were no on the app. one bad practice question. ameteur extra - looked very little like the test. no wording was the same. and, several wrong question / answer issues. close to perfect. no question for technician. maybe a HAM dedicated app for General or Extra.
This is only testing and not learning modules. I'm going in and taking tests blind as a complete newbie which is one way to learn from failing at first I guess. I am up to 80% probability passing the first section after a couple of days so far but more probably on just memorization than understanding of principles. I think I was hoping for more of a learn THEN test but this one is fully free compared to others so it still gets 5 stars
The comprehensive scope of this app helps me to prepare myself for testing to obtain my General ticket. (I used this app to earn my Technician license.) It would be even more useful if the rote learning foundation could be supplemented with more detailed explanation of the technical aspects of amateur radio. There are snippets in the app, but it would be better still to understand the "why" things work, as well as the "how."
This used to be my favorite app for studying for my technician test, but the addition of ad pop-ups that cover the entire screen and the removal of key features to pressure users to pay for the subscription is ridiculous.
