There are some microtransactions, but not anywhere near the typical mobile games where it purposely halts your progress until you pay up. I've been playing for 4 months and quite enjoy it, the only purchase I've made was to remove the ads (which are not intrusive) and get the rewards without having to watch ads. The game is pretty generous and gives you lots of Diamonds (premium currency) every day + doing daily/weekly etc challenges. Not even once I felt like I have to buy more to progress.
Pretty standard idle game with good potential. Still having connectivity issues. More than 50% of the time, it will crash after watching an ad, which makes it not worth it. $12 for no ads? Puh-lease. And sometimes idle time is not registered, which halts progress in an already grindy game. Stun is dumb and stun resist costs WAY too much, and it's locked behind a once a week dungeon. Seriously? Also, some things aren't explained. Could be great but these issues drop it down to middle of the pack.
Great game, lots to do, lots of strategy when it comes to balancing the mana cost of skills and the spell DPS and cost. Highly recommend, I've been on a streak everyday since I started playing. I think I'm on day 45 in a row. You also earn plenty of regular and premium currency without having to purchase anything or watch ads! AND, there are no ads unless you click on an option to earn something by watching them!!!
This is a solid game. I know some folks are having connectivity issues but I have navigated fine. I think its a tough sell if you don't feel like paying for no ads but with that and the support package its a good deal in terms of enjoyable growth. I like how the game is balanced with lots of growth potential and areas to improve, allowing for breakthroughs when things stall. This game does a pretty good job of balance. Weapon/ ring upgrade resource needs to be multiplied or cost lowered
