I used SuperMemo years ago to learn German. It was so effective that when I decided to learn Spanish, I naturally came back. I use the Extreme series, which is not a child's learning tool: no talking animals or distracting images bouncing around; just an effective tool for serious learners. I highly recommend it to anyone who is serious about learning another language. Over the years, I have used this app on 2 computers, 4 phones, and 1 tablet and have never experienced any technical issues.
Way worse then the older version. Courses don't download to be available offline (either stuck on waiting or return an error 01), app does not close with a back button like every other Android app, no nice background picture on launch. Feels like an early alpha or beta version. Bring the old version back and leave this one for early testers as an option.
This is a great learning system but with a major defect. I need to be able to search my decks, and the search feature doesn't support accented characters. A huge percentage of words in French and other languages (including Polish!) contain special characters. I don't understand how the developer could make this kind of app without a real search feature that works in any language. They updated the app, but they still haven't fixed this huge problem. 🤷🏻♂️
Great learning content. But app could be much improved. Downloading offline content either takes forever or never even starts stuck on Waiting. Waiting for what? Godot? One finger operation on tablet is very annoying as good/almost/bad buttons are hard to reach. Many courses have uneven audio levels. Some dialogues are too quiet, then suddenly audio is super loud. Overall very good traditional alternative to more modern but less effective solutions.
