I've played this on and off since release, I would still like more detailed intent (you have to learn the attacks to know when to block). I like the atmosphere, and it's quite enjoyable underneath the paywall...but it has not aged well. Even two years in, there's no real draw to keep playing. No quests or daily login, higher difficulties heavily rely on rng, free currency is very limited, and requiring a connection is why my playing is inconsistent. 3.5* honestly because of squandered potential.
Fun and a good challenge, and interesting, but the additional characters are too much to spend per character. Multi-character packs might make this 4 star. Same is true for the scenarios, multi-scenario packs or lower price would improve this score. The base character and scenario is fun, but it's too pricey to give 5 stars.
its a genuinely fun game with a great artstyle and enemy variety, and I really wish I could give it five stars, however... like most mobile games, everything is pricey as hell, to get a new character you would need to spend almost 20 dollars, and you already need to spend at least 5 dollars and 2 uses of the "get free premium" (3 adds per use) to unlock the second main story quest. frankly almost dropped it to 3 star based on the monetization alone (25$ gets you sts2) but the game kept it higher
Generally fun but gets stale fast: 1. Feels endless because there's no indication of progression of the overall run. 2. Stats don't feel like they affect gameplay much, and they are capped at 60 ( why not 100?) 3. There's nothing gained for playing except a higher chance at a better starting card. 4. You have to pay for the other characters, or watch ads for in-game currency to buy them eventually.
