!!!!!AVOID THIS APP!!!!! No longer free. Every time I try to use something it just fills my screen with a subscription page. I can't even turn off the notification bubble without this happening. It was a good app but the translations started to become less accurate. I would have recommended it before but now it is a subscription service, I will uninstall it. I would pay for a single time purchase, pro version, but I'm not subscribing for £25 a year, that's silly. Their sister apps are the same.
The original free version containing no ad's was perfect! These newer versions are a step backwards for Hi-Translate. My complaints are several. I've tried updating the app over the years with little success. There needs to be a simple function where like the original version you drop the ball on the text and it would read the whole text regardless of the size. Where you would only set the permission once in settings not each translation session. Hi Translate morphed into something complicated.
i really want to love this, but without a few really obvious features i just can't despite it being one of the only apps that will translate certain foreign reading platforms. I hate having to click twice to translate - if i had the option to decide what a single tap or double tap did (eg open menu in single tap and global translate on double), as well as an area or region translate option to reduce how many times we have be to fight with the floating menu this would definitely be higher
A great app, especially for reading Korean novels. Although sometimes the translations stop all of a sudden and won't translate to English, so I had to wait a couple of days or hours for it to fix, despite troubleshooting many ways. Otherwise, I love this app a lot :))
