If I could summarize this game in one word, it would be "why". The game is great and has even greater potential, but the fact that everything is hidden behind a pay-wall is an instant turn off. Don't be fooled by the "free" price tag, you can only unlock 3 creatures, 2 guns and 1 map. WHY can't this be like Dinosaur Hunter Mobile and everything be free with little micro-transactions. If you want a SCARY, FUN and NON-GREEDY game play Dinosaur Hunter Mobile. I'm giving this 3 stars GENEROUSLY.
This game isn't too bad. I still like the dinosaur version better. Because we didn't have to pay to unlock certain animals, maps or guns. Even though we can get a chance to watch a video to either use a gun or play on a map or hunt a certain animal, I still would rather unlock animals, guns and maps by progress. So if they want this game to be good, then change it how it used to be without paying!
Unless my phone is causing a glitch, the current version of the game is impossible to play. I have to pay for each animal to hunt, and the "prize" for each animal is so low that I can never make money hunting. Take the Yeti for example. It costs $1000 to hunt it, and the prize is $25 per yeti. So I would have to successfully hunt 40 Yetis with the pistol to break even for the hunt. Total waste of time. Make it like the original Carnivores game where you pay once to unlock the license.
Nowhere near as good as the original. In the original you had to work to earn credits to unlock everything (maps, dinos, weapons), but in ice age you have to pay. Paying unlocks everything, which doesn't really give you very much satisfaction. Yeah you have to build up points, but it's way too easy. I feel like working hard to unlock everything was a big part of what made the original game interesting. This was definitely a let down.
