About The Gardens Between
The Gardens Between is a single-player adventure-puzzle game about time, memory and friendship.
Best friends Arina and Frendt fall into a series of vibrant, dreamlike island gardens peppered with everyday objects from their childhood. Together they embark on an emotional journey that examines the significance of their friendship: the memories they’ve built, what must be let go, and what should never be left behind.
Lost in a mysterious realm where cause and effect are malleable, the friends find that time flows in all directions. Manipulate time to solve puzzles and reach the apex of each isle. Follow the duo as they unpack and explore their significant moments spent together, lighting up constellations and illuminating threads of a bittersweet narrative.

A fun puzzle game with a unique time-shifting mechanism. The puzzles are fun without being overly hard (for the most part). While the game is fairly short, I enjoyed it. Though it is sad how low-res the Android version is compared to a console version -- I played on a tablet and the characters rendered at something near SNES res (the backgrounds render better than the foregrounds).
This is what I call a "game as an experience" - those looking for the most difficult gameplay/puzzles will unlikely be satisfied, but they miss the mark when looking at a game like this in that lens. I won't judge others, but to me, anyone can create a puzzle. Few can create a genuine experience through a medium such as video games - especially that translate well on mobile. It's a beautiful, sincere, thoughtful game with charming art/animation style, soundtrack, and intuitive gameplay. 5/5 👍
First time leaving a review on a playstore game, but just had to for this one. I am a fan of puzzle games, but the majority of them are extremely similar and I am able to run through them easily, such as pipe puzzle in point and clicks or matching games. The mechanics for The Gardens Between was completely different, and I got bamboozled more than a few times, which added to my excitement. The story was beautiful and the soundtrack added to it's sense of melancholy. This was a masterpiece to me.
A quick little story that will catch you in your feels.. The level design is freaking beautiful, and the puzzles all seem so obvious after you finally figure them out. I got stuck a few times and when I figured it out finally, I was like "wow I feel dumb" 😂. Great game. Could be good to expand on the story or make some more puzzle worlds to conquer.
