The app is clunky and definitely needs some work. The biggest issue is if you want to add sports equipment, bikes, golf clubs, etc, you have to ring, go through a myriad of options before speaking to an advisor about adding equipment. It's clunky, outdated and takes way too long. Other travel apps allow you to add/remove things in the app itself, but Tui's app is 10 years in the past. I know a lot of sports people who won't use Tui for this particular reason and would rather use Jet2.
Useless, utter rubbish. Impossible to do anything. I was trying to cancel coach transfer as we are getting a taxi instead. Should be easy - just press the option to cancel transfer, but it just says unable to connect, try later or oops something went wrong. Tried ringing instead but after pressing numerous options I was held on hold and then the line went dead. Dreadful customer service, won’t use TUI again.
the app is completely useless. I can't pick the right country to set it up. the chat function is miserable and doesn't really help. you keep getting tossed from agent to agent, no case number or anything. they keep asking for me to confirm everything is ok/done although we have on-going stuff. furthermore it would not let me add my booking to the app on a 2nd device. the agent let's you know you can file complaints but they never actually processed. there's more but that's all I can fit in.
I've seen bad airline/travel apps, but TUI has managed to beat them all in their competition to be named the worst ever! There is one thing they don't seem to be interested in: "serving the customer." Virtually impossible to find key information such as cabin luggage allowance. They also seem to try to trick you into buying a seat in order to proceed with check-in even though it is not compulsory to buy it. The lack of information provided is DEFINITELY not accidental; it is there by design
