Playapod 2 Features:
• Now Playing Media Bar
Quickly access whatever is currently playing by tapping on the media bar at the bottom of the screen. It’s always on with quick access to play/pause. Tap the bar to bring up the full media player view.
• News & Blogs
Add news and blog feeds which will be played using text-to-speech. Text based feeds get turned into podcasts with progress bar history, current position, and bookmarking. Very unique feature!
• Video Playback
Full-screen video playback is now supported! Tap on the video to toggle full-screen mode.
• Content Details
Scrolling list of media items displays the description in addition to name, flags, date, size, and duration. Length of description can be configured in settings globally or per subscription.
• Recommendations
Pick a subscription to get back personal recommendations of other shows that are similar.
• Custom Groups & Filters
Filter content by Subscription (Favorites, Category), Media Flags (New, Listened, Downloaded, Bookmarked, Favorited), Media Type (Audio, Video, Text), and Order (Ascending, Descending). Save filters into Groups for quicker access.

this is one of the most unique podcast, video players out there.even reads news text. sync is epic. I hadn't put down my tablet after signing in and it already was syncing what my I had on my phone. doesn't have ompl export, but ompl import was fast and flawless. i Iike the way it looks too. I wish I could search for episodes on different topics, but definitely not an absolute, but nice to have. maybe in a later update. I think a lot of people would like the style too. I like it very much
I love this player. It is simple enough to navigate while you're driving and fully featured enough to not leave me wanting more features. It doesn't ask me if I want a paid subscription every time I open it up. I love the bookmark feature. If you hear something you want to share with someone you can bookmark it. No matter where it is in the episode you can get to it immediately just by going to the bookmark. Great job Tomo!
Convenient and free but slow as all get out. It takes FOREVER to download items. And they fail 50% of the time. I think they problem is that they don't have a download queue that makes the items wait until the first one in the queue is done downloading, so instead, if you want to download 5 items then they all download simultaneously, so 5 hours later you have 5 half episodes and then suddenly you have 5 failed downloads. It would work so much better with a queue. Plus, no streaming option???
I'm kind of new to the podcast world. So I began searching for a platform where I can listen and came across Playapod. Never heard of it before, decided to try it out for a few days. PROS: NO ads! Cross platform synching, user friendly, create playlists & save fave episodes. Adding & unsubscribing is easy! I was able to search & find all my fave podcasts. For older episodes adjust the number (25, 50, 100, etc) in the settings menu. Love it ♥️
