This game is engaging while also being relaxing. The paint-like lights from the shurikens are sooo satisfying. There are little to no ads (may just be that i haven't gotten super far in the game yet). It's a slightly challenging match game WITHOUT the "decorating" feature that most all of these types of games have now. Game creators, please keep it this way and don't change it! 😍
I enjoy this game the more I play it. At the onset I believed it to be a 'zen' type match three game. They caught my interest as the intro offered to have no in game ads. True to their word I have never seen an ad. However, there is nothing 'zen' about the game! There are multiple ways they build up your knowledge base by regularly adding special characteristics to these seemingly benign dots. After a while you find yourself building a strategic game of dots!
I've always been passionate about color, which gives me a slight bias. Nevertheless, Dotsu's color palette is remarkably engaging without feeling overwhelming or intrusive. Its minimalistic design ensures a clean, uncluttered UI. Regarding gameplay, the levels gradually increase in difficulty, making Dotsu genuinely challenging and incredibly fun—plus, it's beautifully crafted!
I really like the game a lot, but there are some levels that are way too hard. The player shouldn't be practically obligated to purchase power ups. That, imo, is what takes the fun out of the *fun*. I really want to give it more stars, but considering the problems ive addressed personally for me, i can't. There really should be another way to obtain tools without the kids sneaking mom's credit card.
