The Volkswagen app is the digital companion for your Volkswagen. It enables you to use Volkswagen’s mobile online services and immerse yourself in the world of Volkswagen.
Enjoy an extensive range of VW Connect services and features, for instance:
• View your remaining range and current charge level even when you're not in the vehicle.
• Use the air conditioning feature to bring your vehicle to a pleasant temperature before your journey, whenever you want or at your usual departure times.
• View your vehicle's last parking position and share it with other apps to navigate to it.
• Check whether your vehicle’s doors and windows are closed and the light is off.
• Conveniently lock and unlock your vehicle remotely.

To use the mobile online services, you need a Volkswagen ID user account and to log in to the Volkswagen app with your username and password. You also have to take out a separate contract for using mobile online services with Volkswagen AG online at www.myvolkswagen.net or via the Volkswagen app. You can find more information at connect.volkswagen.com and from your Volkswagen dealership.

No where near as good as the previous we onnect app. Cant verify id as the screen doesn't show properly. Mistakenly set Germany as where I live and unable to change it. The easy view to see if your car is locked has gone. Complete waste of time and not much point in having. after your free period they want you to pay £109 for a year. Totally not worth it. The only benefit to you is basic car info. VW get all the benifits. Don't waste your money
With my ID.3... Apart from telling the battery charge, nothing works... Eg: impossible to start the AC. Always tells "we cannot connect..." but the fact that I get the battery level proves that the connection is done. Just as always with Volkswagen... bad software. Other than that, anyway, the app has nothing interesting. It cannot close the windows (the function doesn't even exist...). So, this app has really not much utility.
Unfortunately I can only give this app 1 star. I took delivery of a new id.7 in Wolfsburg, and even the VW representative who did the handover with me could not get it to work. It's stuck in a loop between the "Almost done with activation" screen and "Awesome! Now you’re ready to go." and gets no further. Uninstalling and restarting the whole process always gives the same result. Really disappointed for a brand new car 😑
I practically never feel the urge to review an app but in this case I feel I should. I paid 65K for an ID7 and for that price I expect decent software. This app is mostly worthless for the small set of use cases I have. I only care about controlling my charging. The app fails to deliver. It doesn't listen to the charging rate I set. I need to go to my car to make sure it goes to 100% when I want that. I tried reinstalling, cleaning cache, nothing works.
