This is the ONLY game I play on my mobile device (actually, only on my old 32-bit phone because this app isn't compatible with my new Pixel 9 64-bit OS). Some levels are nearly impossible without figuring out some sort of strategy. One game level was only beatable by saving a batch of dots off to the side of the main sun (or planet) as an extra attack resource. The game isn't as simple as it first seems. I do wish the devs would update the app for newer phones though.
I played this game ages ago and loved it. I've revisited it, and I don't know what they changed, but the controls have gotten to be pretty much unusable. When I have units selected and try to target a sun, most of the time it just changes my selection, and it takes about three tries to get what I select to move where I want them to go. In the past, I got through almost the whole game, beating most of the insane levels, but now I'm so hobbled, I often lose easy levels to stupid control problems.
I liked the 2D style much better than this one. I can barely control it as much as I could in the original. I try to select half my troops to set up an ambush, WHOOPSIE! All my units are leaving the defense of the planets and..... there goes my position. I like the prospects of this game, but make it 2d, or make an option to make it so. EDIT: After playing the game a little more, I realized its not as big of a problem as I thought. Still tho, please fix!
Hands down one of my favorite games to play during my down time. The beats are catchy and the game play is colorful and entertaining. The levels are challenging enough to keep me interested but not so much as to frustrate me. If I lose the app I don't mind re-playing the levels (which I've had to do). This is one app I might have to break my "no in-game purchases" rule for.
