I really like the idea and theory of this app BUT as an android and Fitbit user I am having the hardest time with converting my steps because I'm always told the servers are down or that Fitbit for Android doesn't work with this app anymore (but I just converted my steps literally yesterday with few issues). I have been having this problem on and off for a few weeks and I'm just having the hardest time with it today. The above messages keep popping up and it's really frustrating.
The app loading can be really bad sometimes. There are days when the steps won't load at all, no matter what I do to change it. I've tried restarting my phone, unsyncing and resyncing with my step counting app(s), uninstalling and reinstalling WeWards and none of it makes a difference somedays. So the entire day of steps is unable to be converted. I wish the app had an ability to load & convert the steps from the previous day.
Beware of leveling up! It doesn't mean more coins, it means more steps to reach the same coin goals. I used to need 8000 steps to get 10 coins, now at level 3 I need 8300 steps to get 10 coins. It's like the app is punishing us for walking more instead of rewarding us. You should gain coin amounts per level instead of being force to walk more for the same small coin amounts. It feels deceptive and reduces my motivation to use the app.
decent app and like that they are trying to get individuals in better fitness however the app is very limited in how it collects steps. for me I use the Google fit option which means I have to keep my phone with me on runs or other activity to collect data. I have a Garmin watch that is not compatible for collecting steps which is limiting. it would be nice to not have to take my phone on a run.
