I've been using Windy for the past 8 years, and I only wish I had found it sooner. The premium features are fantastic, especially the 24-hour weather loop, detailed weather maps, and accurate hour-by-hour forecasts. The amount of weather data available is incredible while still being easy to use. Whether you're a weather enthusiast or just want reliable forecasts, Windy is hands down the best weather app I've used. Highly recommended!
I really like this app and use it all the time. One thing, it used to have a feature that allowed you to see your location on the map and this made it really easy to orient yourself when opening the app. A couple months ago this feature disappeared for me and I'm not sure why. I didn't change any permission settings and location is still enabled for this app. Please bring this back!!
I do not think the app quite has easy preset settings available to pull up information how you want it when you open it. there are so many options of things to look at but very few to open the app and see what you want quickly. other than that it is a great resource very high resolution radar. I would like to see forecasting options with AI in the future implemented. I feel the future cast radar is not very accurate.
As a farmer, a weather app is much needed. For years I was using the Storm app. It gave me alerts when rain was about to start, nearby lightning strikes, and weather alerts. The radar was always on point too. The colors were defined. If there was any color overhead, 99% of the time there was some sort of precipitation occurring. Windy doesn't send notifications, and I can't trust the radar colors. Half the time a system will look bigger on Windy than another app. If changes were made, I'd use.
