The Absolute BEST chess game you will ever download! Great for beginners and veterans of the game. The best part about the game is there are NO ADS!! You do not even need to purchase the premium upgrade as even the free version does not play one single ad! However if you do choose to purchase the premium version it will only cost you $9.99 A YEAR!!!
Update 4/17/22: Just renewed because the free version doesn't have ads. Any app this good that lets you use it for free, with no ads, is worth paying for in my opinion. Plus, the app works perfectly. Outstanding. At my level I don't need the features the paid version offers but the developers have done such a great job it was an easy decision to fork over $10. Been playing for free for 3 weeks and have not seen a single ad or experienced any issues. Very, very well made app.
This is a great app. I do wish the board was a smidge bigger on my 11-inch tablet in landscape mode. I think there's room to do that perhaps by reducing the size of the top bar in the left pane, which only houses whose move it is and the back/forward arrows. Thank you for making this app for both major mobile platforms. I use it on both. And thanks for even tablet optimizing it for Android, which is apparently too much trouble for most devs 🙄.
Social Chess is a great app for playing chess with people around the world. It supports both slow (like e-postal) and fast time controls (real-time) for bullet, 5 minute, Fischer/Bronstein speed type controls for regular and variant chess. It's kept up to date and I've never ran into any serious bugs or issues with it. I wholeheartedly recommend it!
